一种显示的方法及终端，所述方法包括：接收横竖屏切换指令(S202，S902)；读取当前显示的应用的显示属性，根据所述显示属性获取所述应用对页面显示的横竖屏方向配置信息(S203，S903)；若所述横竖屏方向配置信息设定了页面仅支持单方向显示，则修改所述横竖屏方向配置信息以及所述应用的页面显示尺寸(S204，S904)；根据所述横竖屏切换指令进行横竖屏切换(S205，S905)；在横竖屏切换后的界面上显示修改了页面显示尺寸后的所述应用(S206，S906)。上述方法可提升终端显示效果和用户体验。
